Is there a landscape that feels like home? Perhaps it's the family farm you grew up on. A beach you've returned to every summer. The house where your children grew up. A favourite hiking spot, holiday destination, wedding location or simply a view that holds particular memories.
I accept a limited number of private commissions to create bespoke illustrations of places that mean something to you.
Working from your photographs, memories and stories, I'll interpret your special place through the same richly textured, limited-colour, linocut-inspired approach that you'll find throughout 'The Overproof Press' collections.
The result isn't intended to be a photographic reproduction.
Instead, I'll capture the character, colour and sense of place that makes your location special ~ creating an original artwork that feels uniquely yours while remaining unmistakably 'The Overproof Press'.
Your Bespoke Illustration
Private commissions
Your commission will be individually quoted according to the complexity and scope of the artwork, so we can agree on exactly what you’d like before you make any commitment.
A standard private commission includes:
- One location and agreed composition
- An original illustration developed from your photographs and stories
- The signature Overproof Press limited-colour, linocut-inspired aesthetic
- Development of a composition specifically for your chosen place
- One round of minor revisions
- Professional preparation of your finished artwork for your chosen print format
Physical printing, framing and delivery are quoted separately, allowing you to choose a finished piece that suits your space and budget.
There’s no obligation simply to enquire ~ send through your idea and some photographs and I’ll let you know what I’d recommend and provide a quote.
Commercial commissions are also welcome and are quoted based on the scope, intended use and licensing requirements of the artwork.
